How to Stop a Bad Mood

Yesterday, I realized the vast importance of what I’m sharing with you in today’s video – firsthand!

I’m on retreat with my teacher in France.

It’s a deep journey activating A LOT of profound healings, with the main intention being to awaken into Presence.

Normally, I love every bit of it.

Yesterday, I hit my limit.

After 4 days of hearing peoples’ sacred, emotional shares, my whole body swelled up.

My fingers could barely bend – they’d pop like water balloons if I tried, my eyes puffy as if I’d personally been the one tearfully working through everyones’ pain, my feet tight in my shoes.

Everything. Was. Swollen.

Until I found myself sitting in front of a beautiful woman – who has no idea how beautiful she is – to do a simple exercise.

When it was her time to share, my whole body started to shake.

An energy larger than life, originating at the base of my spine, spontaneously started shooting up through me.

There I sat, wailing, trembling, tingling – teeth chattering full speed.

All I could see in this white-haired woman’s eyes was sparkling light and childlike purity.

But, every word she uttered exposed the painful judgements that relentlessly punched through her mind.

And even though I had just exposed my own version of that.

And even though I no longer buy into it.

And even though my work involves hearing the dark thoughts my clients and students face on a daily basis, this time, something that has never happened before happened.

I. Could. No. Longer. Hold. It.

I could no longer hold the lies, the trance of negativity, the b.s. that was holding this woman (and all of humanity) back from fully living her life.

I was bloated with the pain of the world and I didn’t have space for one more drop.

Once my body stopped shaking, I quietly exited the classroom, walked down the stairs and towards the green hills of a private vineyard, where I sat for over an hour earthing and grounding.

That’s when I realized what had led to such a dramatic energetic outpouring.

In this last month of traveling and busy weeks preparing, my daily earthing practice has been practically non-existent.

As an empath and highly sensitive person, when I put my bare feet on the earth for 30 minutes every day, my body is cleared of anything I’ve inevitably collected.

I’d never gone so long without direct, regular contact with the soil, so I had no idea how vital it actually is for an energetically-sensitive soul to outlet this way.

I share this with you to demonstrate that self-care is not a luxury; it’s the foundation of success!

And we ALL have our limits, especially if we forget to serve from the overflow, not the undertow.

So, whether it’s forest bathing, yoga, or whatever specifically keeps YOUR body, mind and heart fresh and clear, give yourself to it daily.

Your wellbeing benefits the whole and it’s more important than ever to be unwavering with what makes you shine and thrive.
